According to a recent study, mamas today feel under pressure to be a “yummy mummy” — an ideal they believe is unattainable and forced upon them by celebrities.
Look at celebrity mums like Victoria Beckham and Angelina Jolie! They are making everyday mothers feel inadequate in money, career, family, and most important of all, fitness.
Almost 70 % of mothers felt that yummy mummy celebrities placed too much pressure on them to always look their best and stay super fit while trying to combine a family life with work demands.
And when it comes to comparing themselves to celebrity mums, 42% voted Beckham the most unrealistic role model, followed by Jolie 11% and Madonna 9%.
Victoria Beckham does look super-skinny to me. If I have to control my diet strictly or starve myself, kill me! I will never ever want to starve myself in order to look super-skinny. Being slim and healthy is what I want.
